News - Ames will show the “hook” retelled by Peter Pan in 1991 at Bandshell Park on Friday

According to the press release, the sequel “Hook” to the 1991 classic fantasy novel “Peter Pan and Wendy” will be screened at Bandshell Park on the corner of Sixth Street and Duff Avenue. The movie will start around 8pm
“Hook” starring Robin Williams tells the story of Peter Pan, but as an adult, he has forgotten all his childhood adventures. This movie was rated as PG.
Movie viewers need to bring their own seats for the event. If the weather prevents watching movies outdoors, the event will be moved to the Ames City Auditorium from 8:15pm
The update will be posted on the Ames Parks and Recreation Facebook page or www.amesparkrec.org. According to the press release, the free event is sponsored by Duck Worth Wearing, Pyfferoen Pediatric Dentistry, Perfect Games and MetroNet Fiber. Lutheran Church of Hope will provide projectors.
